Updates
Been getting myself accustomed to the change of pace here. There is always something to help out with!! I love all of the animals here and feel completely at home…granted at night I do get a little lonely, so I moved one of the dog beds into my room to keep me company. The dog is a Australian Shepherd named Mindy. I’ve always known that Australian Shepherds were smart but this dog is crazy smart! Anyways, she is very sweet to me and I am growing attached.
I’m slowly learning how to do all the farm tasks. I’m super excited because we are supposed to have a new litter of PUPPIES soon and I cannot wait to see the whole birthing process and whatnot. So from the Centennial State, goodnight!
I’m Here!
Here I am in Colorado!! It is so gorgeous here. Never, 6 years ago I’d have never believed that I would fly across the world and set up shop in Durango (outside) to help out on a farm and travel. Whatever though, when else will I have the chance to do this? I know you all think I am a bit nutty for packing up and going, but I am not going to let that bother me.
So the land is intensely green and the farm is about what you would expect a really old farm to look like. Mainly sheep, chickens, goats, pigs, dogs (lots of them) and cats. My travel schedule isn’t finalized yet but I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on my adventures around the country!
